Tanzania Innovation Week

The Netherlands Embassy in Partnership with Nabaki Africa and UP Studio Africa hosted an online event to explore innovative and climate-smart ways of designing Tanzania's safari lodge of the future. During the event, several private stakeholders showcased ways with new designs, materials, and marketing tools to a sustainable and eco-friendly Tanzanian tourism sector. Throughout the event, also the Tanzanian designers of the future, between the ages of 6 and 15, exhibited their ideas of Tanzania's future safari lodge. 

FBW presented their work highlighting 3 key objectives in design that can promote sustainable tourism, by:

1. Preserving, enhancing and showcasing cultural and natural heritage

2. Exploring and refining aesthetics of modern climate responsive designs

3. Using a community inclusive approach.
